Use two spaces before beginning single-line comment. Use parentheses around variable to be tested in switch stmt. Use space between function name and opening parenthesis.

There are binary packages for Debian, Fedora, and other GNU/Linux
distributions.

Octave should build cleanly from source on most GNU/Linux systems.
