changeset 9738:49d79aec412e octave-forge

strings: removed configure and autogen in favor of simpler easier to maintain Makefile. This won't allow for conditional building for availablity of libraries but current files are not working anyway, there is no one to maintain them, and package already has explicit that pcre is a requirement.
